Heather Tornes and Jason Casto were united in marriage on Aug. 13, 2011, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Churchtown. The ceremony was officiated by Father Virgil Reischman.
The bride is the daughter of Ed (Kelley) Tornes and Lisa and Paul Henderson. She is the granddaughter of Dave and Ruth Erb.
She is a graduate of Fort Frye High School and Washington State Community College. She is currently employed by the Social Security Administration.
The bridegroom is the son of Mark and Lesa Casto and Corlis and Randy Hunter. He is the grandson of Russ and Kay Casto and Geneva Carpenter.
He is a graduate of Marietta High School and Washington State Community College and is currently employed by the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers.
The bride wore a strapless formal gown of ivory satin. The bodice was embellished with bugle beads and crystals. The corset back laced and flowed into a semi cathedral train. She carried a bouquet of red roses, orange tiger lilies, and red and orange gerbera daisies wrapped in red ribbon.
The matron of honor was Kala Shilling. Bridesmaids were Emily Tornes and Abbey Tornes, cousins of the bride, Haley Tornes, sister of the bride, Jenna Wagner, and Stephanie Casto. They wore red strapless knee length satin dresses with a belted waist and rhinestone accent. The flower girls were Jaslynn and Elle Casto, daughters of the bride and bridegroom and Jaelyn Tornes, niece of the bride.
The best man was Jamie Doan. Groomsmen were Dustin Tornes and Derrick Tornes, brothers of the bride, Chris Ritchie, Jeremy Huck, and Mitch Wagner.
The ceremony included readings by Matt Erb, uncle of the bride, and Jennifer Klemenz, sister of the bridegroom.
The reception was held at the K of C Hall in Churchtown following the ceremony.
The couple honeymooned in Las Vegas. They reside in Lowell.
