Bible Center grad to lead Sunday service
Allister McKenna, a graduate of the Marietta Bible College will preach in the 6 p.m. service on Sunday, Feb. 5 at the Marietta Bible Center Church. He is a native of Scotland. He and his wife, Janet, also a Marietta Bible College graduate, have dedicated their lives to leading a ministry to drug addicts of Aberdeen, Scotland. She is a native of the Philippines.
Myron K. Guiler, pastor of the Marietta Bible Center Church, will preach in the 10 a.m. service Sunday. His message will be, "Preparing for the Passover."
The annual Prayer Conference, sponsored by the Marietta Bible College, will be held Feb. 6 to 10. There will be three sessions each morning and two sessions each evening with messages on prayer.

Church finds new site for services
House of The Forgiven services will be held in a new location beginning Sunday, Feb. 5. The services will be held at Oak Grove Recreation Center, 535 B.F. Goodrich Road in Marietta. The Sunday service is at 11 a.m. and the midweek service is at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesdays. Tunnel church offers free community meal
There will be a free community meal at Tunnel United Methodist Church on Thursday, Feb. 9 from 5 to 7 p.m. The baked steak dinner is open to any individual or family. Tunnel UMC is located at Ohio 550 and Coffman Road. For information or to request to have a meal delivered (within a six mile radius), call 374-5634.
Soup supper at Lower Salem church
Lower Salem United Methodist Church will be hosting a soup supper on Saturday, Feb. 11 from 5 to 7 p.m. Homemade soups, hot dogs, sloppy joes, homemade desserts, soft drinks and coffee will be served for a free will offering. The supper will be held at Lower Salem Community Hall, 97 Main St., Lower Salem.
Free meal, clothing give-away Feb. 17
Faith United Methodist Church will be having their free meal and clothing giveaway from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Feb. 17, 503 Seventh St., Marietta. The meal and giveaway is held the third Saturday of every month.
Our Lady of Mercy fish fries planned
Our Lady of Mercy will be hosting all you can eat fish fries from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. several Sundays in March. The dates will be March 2, 16 and 30. The cost for adults will be $7.50, children 12 and under will be $4, and children under five for free. The meals will be served in the social hall at the church in Lowell.
