B2B meets Tuesday at the Levee House

Business2Business (B2B) will be meeting from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Levee House, hosted by the Marietta Area Chamber of Commerce.

Lunch will be served while members gain leads and referrals for businesses. B2B provides opportunities for members to share ideas, contacts and business referrals with the purpose of increasing business revenue and building long lasting relationships. Only one person per business classification may join. Cost is $60 annually plus meals.

Lang Outdoor to host Business After Hours

The Marietta Area Chamber of Commerce will hold its monthly Business After Hours on Thursday, Feb. 9, from 5 to 6:30 p.m., hosted by Lang Outdoor Power Equipment, at 100 Bender Road in Marietta.

Business After Hours is an informal gathering hosted by a different Chamber member each month. This is an opportunity for networking and meeting new contacts. Appetizers and drinks will be served, along with door prizes.

Productivity topic of next Tech Tuesday

The Marietta Area Chamber of Commerce along with the Small Business Development Center - Marietta will be hosting Tech Tuesday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Feb. 14 in the conference room of the Marietta Area Chamber of Commerce. The topic for this session is productivity. The cost of the meeting is $5.

Rea & Associates employee promoted

Rea & Associates Inc., a regional accounting and business consulting firm, recently announced the promotion of Cassandra Pierce from client service specialist to staff accountant.

"I am excited to announce Cassie's promotion to staff accountant," said Jim Hensler, CPA, manager of Rea's Marietta office. "Her strong work ethic and attention to detail are a real asset to our office."

Pierce joined Rea in 2005 as a client service specialist. She earned a bachelor's of science degree in business administration from Ohio Valley College. A native of Watertown, she now lives in Vincent with her husband, Jimmie, and their son, Jimmie III.
