Professors attend Global Conference in Costa Rica

Two faculty honored at Global Conference on Business and Finance

Dr. Mark Bagshaw and Dr. Luding Tong attended conference in Costa Rica

Dr. Mark Bagshaw and Dr. Luding Tong recently represented Marietta College at the 2012 Global Conference on Business and Finance in San Jose, Costa Rica.

Bagshaw and Tong presented papers at the conference sponsored by The Institute for Business and Finance Research, and were also honored with a few awards in January.

Bagshaw, Professor of Management and Leadership, presented "Teaching International Business by Using Fiction: How and Why I wrote an International Business Novel." He also accepted the Leadership Award on Marietta College's behalf.

Tong, Associate Professor of Chinese and Director of Asian Studies, presented "Decoding the Regulatory System for Advertising in Contemporary China." She also chaired the session on "International Business and Marketing." Tong also received an Outstanding Research Award and Best Paper in Session.

Both papers were published in the conference-referred proceedings, while Tong's paper was invited to be published in the journal of "Review of Business & Finance Case Studies."
