Norma Shears Starkey of Marietta is celebrating her 90th birthday. She was born March 6, 1922 in Gravel Bank, Marietta. She was a 1939 graduate of Marietta High School.
She is the mother of four children: Jerry Starkey (deceased), Phyllis Brown of Vienna, W.Va.; Margaret Owens of Mary Esther, Fla. and Diana Starkey of Kannapolis, N.C.; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
An open house will be held in her honor from 1 to 4 p.m. on March 10 at Emeritus of Marietta, 150 Browns Road, Marietta with friends and family invited.
