Treasure in the Attic: Old-time cookie jars sell on Web

The American Bisque Company was founded in Williamstown in 1919. The company produced cookie jars, florist ware and kitchen ware up until 1982, when the company went out of business.

In the last year or so, many of the cookie jars the company produced have drastically come down in value, due to the fact that they're not as rare and hard to find as everyone first believed, showing up on eBay in quantities.

Here is a list of what some of these cookie jars last sold for on eBay. The most valuable today are the Flintstones and Popeye series cookie jars.

- Olive Oyl bust, $510; Popeye the Sailor Man bust, $502; Davy Crockett, $292; "Cow jumped over the Moon, $519.

- Pennsylvania Dutch Boy, $215; Umbrella Children, $91; Sandman, $68; Popeye, Sweet Pea Bust, $268.

- Magic Bunny, $46; Rooster, $41; Bunny in a hat, $25; Cheerleader, $91; Clown "try moms cookies," $76.

- World War II soldier "red hair mustache," $75.

- Goofy Rabbit, $55.

- Tortoise and Hare, $79.

- Chick, $42.

- Grandma Rabbit, $75.

- Churn boy, $60.

- Elephant, pastel colors, $77.

- Bucket Pail "ladle lid," $20.

- Cats jar, $27.

- Kittens on a green yarn ball, $66.

- Space ship, $225.

- Pig cookie jar, $47.

- Bell "Ring for Cookies, $40.

- Brownie with glasses, $90.
