Gene and Susan Strauss of 204 Lee Ave., Marietta, will celebrate 40 years of marriage on June 24. They were married at the Methodist Church in Beverly, Ohio on June 24, 1972.
He is retired from the Ohio Department of Transportation and works part-time for Shadix TV. She is retired from Washington State Community College and works as a substitute for Marietta City Schools.
They have two children: Amy Jo Stossel and her husband Doug of Willoughby, Ohio and Andrew Jason Strauss and his wife Shannon who live in Oak Grove Marietta. They have four grandchildren: Chloe and Zachary Stossel and Ethan and Kenadee Strauss.
The couple like to travel and spend time with family and friends.
