Peoples Bank gains new employee
Peoples Bank, National Association (Peoples Bank), announces the acquisition of Jerry Villers.
In his new position at Peoples Bank, Villers will assist customers in Vienna and Parkersburg, with a wide range of investment services. He will provide customers with financial advice through planning (financial, estate, education and IRA rollovers), investment management (annuities, broker and trust services), protection (life, health, long-term care and disability insurance) and retirement counsel.
Villers attended Marietta College and holds Series 6, 7, 24 and 63 licenses. In addition, he received special training from the American Society of Pension Actuaries. He is an active member of the Parkersburg Rotary Club and Chamber of Commerce of the Mid-Ohio Valley.
Ohio chamber board member elected
Peoples Bank President Charles Sulerzyski was recently elected to serve on the Ohio Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
Sulerzyski is one of 23 Ohio business leaders who were elected May 15 to positions on the Ohio Chamber of Commerce Board. The election occurred during the Ohio Chamber's Annual Meeting and Legislative Conference in Columbus.
The board oversees business activities for Ohio's largest and most diverse statewide business advocacy association. The board's leadership includes business representatives from each of five geographic regions of Ohio, as well as directors who serve in at-large positions. Each director is nominated by a committee of Ohio Chamber members and serves a three-year term.
Founded in 1893, the Ohio Chamber of Commerce is Ohio's largest statewide business advocacy group. The Chamber works to promote and protect the interests of its members - large and small - while building a more favorable Ohio business climate.
Insurance agent attends conference
F. Leslie Futrell of River Cities Financial, recently attended Multi-Financial's annual awards conference. This year's awards conference assembled 450 of Multi-Financial's top advisors at the Meritage Resort and Spa in Napa, Calif., to celebrate their accomplishments of 2011.
The awards conference also featured presentation from Cetera's Wealth Management leaders and the event was closed with a motivational presentation from Pro Football Hall of Famer, Terry Bradshaw.
