Harding University

SEARCY, ARK. - Four local residents are among more than 1,000 Harding University students included on the dean's list for grades achieved during the spring semester - Brandon Daughety of Vincent, Jeremy Fouss of Belpre, Paul Hedden of Belpre, Caitlin Wilhelm of Marietta.

The deans's list is comprised of students who have carried 12 or more hours with a 3.65 or higher grade point average.

Hocking College

Hocking College announces that five students from this area have been named to its dean's list for winter quarter 2012. Each achieved at least a 3.3 grade point average and completed 12 or more credit hours.

Dayna Bunner of Belpre, Dakota Flesher of Waterford, Melody Myers of Cutler, Casey Price of Marietta, Ryan Swisher of Parkersburg.

University of Mount Union

ALLIANCE - Two area residents graduated from the University of Mount Union on May 5:

Derick Hesson, of Dexter City, earned a bachelor of science degree in exercise science. Hesson is also a graduate of Caldwell High School.

Kathryn Starr, of Marietta, earned a bachelor of arts degree in early childhood education. Starr graduated with cum laude honors. Starr is also a graduate of Marietta Senior High School.

Northeast Ohio Medical University

ROOTSTOWN, Ohio - Northeast Ohio Medical University honored Ohio's newest physicians at its commencement ceremony on May 19 at The University of Akron's E.J. Thomas Performing Arts Center.

Dr. Caitlin Elizabeth Booth was awarded a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from Northeast Ohio Medical University. Dr. Booth will enter internal medicine at Mount Carmel Health System in Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Booth is a graduate of Marietta High School and Kent State University and is the daughter of Mark and Tonya Booth of Marietta.
