PACE Premier Company Members, under the direction of Ashley McCreery, recently concluded their regional competition season. Their combined awards total 56 Platinum Adjudications, 24 scholarships received at conventions and competitions, three members accepted into the Joffrey Ballet Summer Intensive Program, and 16 Overall 1st Place Wins in the Level 3 Advanced Division. Other awards include an 11 and Under Grand Champion Award for the Highest Scoring age 11 and Under performance at a competition, and the Top Advanced Level Three Studio award at Applause in Columbus for having the highest combined total of all level three performances. PACE has also been recognized by the Federation of Dance Competitions as one of the 50 Top Studios in the Southeast Region, which is comprised of all studios in the states of Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Kentucky, and West Virginia.
PACE is the only studio in the state of West Virginia to receive this honor. PACE's small group routine "Conductor" was chosen as Best Nu Junior Group by judges Denise Wall, Travis Wall, and Stacey Tookey at NUVO in Pittsburgh and was selected by them to perform in the NUVO closing show after SYTYCD winner Melanie Moore. "Conductor" is also a two time FDC People's Choice award winner, selected out of over 500 entries by both StarQuest, Columbus and NexStar, Cleveland. One "Federations People's Choice Award" routine is selected by the judges and the respective company at every regional FDC competition. A video of each nominee's routine is posted on the FDC Web Site and on YouTube throughout the regional season. In June, viewers nationwide can vote for their favorite routine via the FDC Web Site. The 13 FDC members will each invite their respective highest voted nominee to represent their competition organization at the Sept. 25 to 28, FDC Gala in Cancun, MX as their guest. Information on voting will be available on the PACE Facebook page and through the competitive page on the PACE website www.pacewv.com.
