Meredith and Betty Potts of Marietta celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 24. They were married on June 24, 1962, at the First United Methodist Church in Marietta.
He is the son of the late Leonard and Marie Potts of Woodsfield. She is the daughter of the late Corbett and Agnes Bradley of Marietta.
He is retired from DuPont, Washington Works, and she was employed by Warren School. They are members of the Tunnel United Methodist Church in Marietta.
They are the parents of three children: Shirley and Robert Niell of Murrieta, Calif., Sheila and Michael Wright of Denver, N.C. and Susan and Marc Yonker of Belpre.
They are the grandparents of eight grandchildren: Jordan, McKenna, and Madison Niell; Lindsey, Travis and Grayson Wright; and Marcus and Remington Yonker. They have one great-granddaughter, Camryn Weiss.
The couple celebrated their anniversary with travels that included their children and grandchildren.
