Legion baseball team a source of area pride

July 23, 2012
The Marietta Times

Congratulations to the players, coaches and fans of the Beverly-Lowell Post 389-750 American Legion baseball team.

Winners of 27 games in a row, the team captured the district title on Saturday and now prepares for the state baseball tournament in Lancaster at the end of this month.

This team features some of the top young talent in the area with many players making plans to take their talents to area colleges. Its 36-4 overall record this season stands as a testimonial to Beverly-Lowell's talent and dedication to being the best it can be.

Now, the team will test its skills on the field and at the plate against the toughest competition in the entire Buckeye State.

We wish Coach Todd Engle and his team the best at the state Legion tournament. We hope their winning streak gets extended all the way to a state title.
