Marietta Memorial Hospital's Rehab Department Receives CARF Accreditation
Marietta Memorial Hospital's Inpatient Rehabilitation Department at Marietta Memorial Hospital recently received renewal of their three-year CARF accreditation. This accreditation affirms the high quality care and commitment to excellence of Marietta Memorial and their rehabilitation services.
The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) is a private, not-for-profit organization that promotes quality rehabilitation services. It does this by establishing standards of quality for organizations to use as guidelines in developing and offering their programs or services to customers. Developed with input from consumers, rehabilitation professionals, state and national organizations and funders, the CARF standards are internationally recognized and respected. A provider earns CARF accreditation by measuring up to these standards.
Marietta Memorial's recent CARF reaccreditation not only demonstrates their ongoing commitment to a high standard of care, but as Heather Weber, program director of inpatient rehab and stroke services, puts it, the accreditation also demonstrates MMH's "commitment to aspiring excellence in provision of rehab care." With this three-year accreditation, the rehab department at MMH, proves its commitment to providing excellent patient care by living up to the internationally recognized standards required by CARF.
