Hazel Boettcher, retired Postmaster of Reno, Ohio, was awarded the National League of Postmasters Journalism Award of Excellence 2012 National Newsletter of the Year: The Ohio Leaguer. The presentation was made at the 109th NLPM Convention in Orlando, Fla. on Aug. 2.
Boettcher has been editor of The Ohio Leaguer for 15 years and has received numerous awards for this newsletter. It is published quarterly (16 to 20 pages) and is sent to 1,200 members in Ohio and nationally. The goal is to keep all Postmasters informed and current on issues effecting their profession and the USPS.
