Ronny and Sandra Smith, of Marietta, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 24. They were united in marriage at Gilman United Methodist Church in Marietta.
Smith is the son of the late George and Elsie Smith and Mrs. Smith is the daughter of the late Walter and Lena Babb.
They are the parents of two children: Mark (Tracey) Smith of Marietta and Peggy (Brian) Bailey of Lowell. They have three grandchildren: Brittni Cline and Derek and Brandyn Bailey.
Smith worked several years for Mark Williams Blacktop, leaving to become self-employed and has since retired. She retired from the Bureau of Public Debt, Parkersburg.
A surprise anniversary party was given by their children in Lowell on their actual anniversary date.
