Susan Gracey Naylor of Parkersburg and Paul and Robin Duke of Williamstown announce the engagement of their son, Matthew Douglas Duke to Emily Lauren Myers, daughter of Larry and Ethel Myers of Poca, W.Va.
The bridegroom is the grandson of the late James and Ethel Duke of Williamstown and the late William and Francis Gracey of Parkersburg. The bride is the granddaughter of Nadine and the late Ken Myers of Elkview and Paris and Mildred Stephens of Poca.
The bride is a 1998 graduate of Poca High School, a 2002 cum laud graduate of Concord University with a B.A. in Communication Arts and a 2005 graduate of West Virginia University with a M.S. in Integrated Marketing Communications. She is employed by Moroch as a Senior Communications Specialist. She is an alumna of Delta Zeta Sorority, a member of the Board of Directors for the Ronald McDonald House of Southern West Virginia, Concord University Alumni Association Executive Council and serves as vice-president of the Concord University Kanawha Valley Alumni Chapter.
The bridegroom is a 1997 graduate of Parkersburg High School and a 2012 graduate of West Virginia University Institute of Technology with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. He is employed by CDI Corporation as a Mechanical Engineer. He is a member of Trout Unlimited and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
The bride and bridegroom, who reside in Cross Lanes, W.Va., are also members of Generation Charleston.
The couple will exchange vows Sept. 8, 2012, at the Knotty Pine Lodge in Fraziers Bottom, W.Va.
