Larry and Sandy Danford of New Matamoras will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on Sept. 2. They were married at the East Main Street United Methodist Church in Barnesville, Ohio by the Rev. Fred Swinehart.
He is the son of Virgil and Gladys Trott Danford of Barnesville. He is retired from Ormet Aluminum at Hannibal. She is the daughter of Arline Love Smith of Caldwell and the late Donald M. Smith. She is retired from Pleasants Power Station at Willow Island.
They are the parents of four sons: Tom (Joyce), and Richard (Barb), of Marietta; Harry (Lori) of Bethesda; and Gary (Dee) of Moncks Corner, S.C. They have 14 grandchildren.
They celebrated with a family dinner at The Farm in Adena, Ohio.
