September means time to get ready for winter

Late August and early September are particularly busy days for residents of the Mid-Ohio Valley with the county fair, sternwheel festival and Octoberfest, toname a few events.

But, before we know it, the days won't be quite so warm and the nighttime air will start to get a bit of a chill. Fall is only a few weeks away.

Before you get so wrapped up in the day-to-day hustle and bustle we want to send out this warning signal: Cold weather is down the road and you should take steps to be prepared.

Maybe it's a bit early to put on your snow tires, but when are you going to do it? Don't wait for snow to be in the forecast. You'll lose valuable time waiting in line with everyone else who waited just a bit too long.
