Marjorie E. Rinard, 88, of Marietta, formerly of Woodsfield, died Tuesday (Sept. 11, 2012) at the home of her sister-in-law, Susan K. Rinard, where she resided. She was born Nov. 2, 1923, at Rinard Mills, Ohio, a daughter of the late James E. and Gladys M. Smith Rinard.
Marjorie was retired from the Monroe County Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service- ASCS (now Farm Service Agency) Woodsfield, Ohio, having served as Program Assistant for many years. Prior to her service in Monroe County, she served as County Executive Director as well as a Program Assistant in the Washington County ASCS Marietta.
She was a member of the Mount Vernon Christian Union Church having attended both the Methodist and Presbyterian Churches in Woodsfield.
Preceded in death by one brother, Carl Wayne Rinard; one sister, Dorothy Matesich; and a niece, Wana Sue Engle; nephews, Nicholas Matesich, and Ronald Matesich.
She is survived by one brother, Paul (Barbara) Rinard, of Woodsfield; one sister, Doris (John) Scott of Alliance, Ohio; sister-in-law, Susan Rinard of Marietta; brother-in-law, Nick Matesich of New Eagle, Pa.; several nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and nephews.
Friends received from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday (Sept. 14) at the Bauer -Turner Funeral Home Woodsfield, Ohio, where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday (Sept. 15) with the Rev. William Moran officiating. Interment will follow at the Rinard Mills Cemetery Rinard Mills, Ohio.
