James Michael Alexander, 68, of Perrysburg, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, (Sept. 11, 2012) at St. Vincent. He was born June 22, 1944.
Survivors include wife, Pat; children, Michael (Shelly) Alexander and Tammy (Chad) VanRiper; stepchildren, David Hammond and Kristi Hammond; sisters, Kathy Maloche, Paula (Harold) Holten, and Suzanne Alexander and Maureen (Steve) Smith; and grandchildren, Michael and Taylor Alexander, Josh and Caleb Mason, and Devin, Brooke, Brittany VanRiper and Declan Hammond.
Friends may gather from 1 to 8 p.m., Sunday (Sept. 16) at Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe (734) 384-5185. He will lie in state from 9 a.m. until the Mass of the Resurrection at 10 a.m., Monday (Sept. 17) at St. Mary Parish, 127 North Monroe.Burial to follow.
