Coming to a county/city near you!
This is exactly what the current bunch of Washington County commissioners have in store for Woodlawn, Devola, etc.!
Jackson (Ohio) City Council is another step closer to its second day of decision concerning a proposed series of sewer-rate increases for all city customers.
According to the Jackson Tribune:
If the new sewer-rate package is approved, customers would pay 18 percent more than the current rate for the final three months of 2012, another 16 percent hike in 2013, a 12 percent increase in 2014, then an 8 percent increase in 2015. The new ordinance also calls for automatic annual increases of 3 percent, which would commence in 2016.
So, if you think that the $56 a month for sewer is high now, just wait. ...
You can slow this down by voting out the current county commissioners in November.
