Franciscan Meals

The annual volunteer appreciation dinner sponsored by the Franciscan Meals Board was held at the Marietta Knights of Columbus hall on Sept. 20.

Volunteers and guests were greeted by Chairman Susie Adams and board member Betty Wheaton. Jim Fernihough led the group in the pledge of allegiance to the flag and also gave the blessing before the meal. New board members Judy Grize and Jackie Lang were introduced.

Patriot themed table favors and gift bags that decorated the tables were provided by Adams and her husband, Jim. Puzzle games were at each place setting and one person at each table won a gift card as a door prize.

The Franciscan Meals Program had another successful year because of all the officers, committee chairmen, drivers, office workers and food providers Selby Hospital, Harmar Place and the Marietta Rehabilitation Center.
