Pam Wilson, a sophomore at Warren High School, won three awards at the Barlow Fair's 4-H Horse Show: grand champion horsemanship, reserve grand champion showmanship (ages 13 to 15) and grand champion English equitation.
The National British debate team will participate in an exhibition debate with the Marietta College debate team. The debate will be about the pros and cons of marriage.

Robert Smith broke his leg at the barns of the Marietta Livery and Transfer Company. He was engaged in a friendly wrestling match with J.J. Wood, manager of the company.
The local Woodmen, Local Camp 4138, held a meeting Friday, in which several nonmembers were elected to "travel through the forest of woodcraft" at an initiation set to take place October 18. Food will be served.
