Anna Mae Woodruff, 78, of Lowell, passed away Thursday (Sept. 27, 2012) at Muskingum Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation in Beverly, following a brief illness. She was born Nov. 13, 1933, in Fleming to Denzil and Helen Riley Robinson.
On Dec. 4, 1948, she married Dallard "Woody" Woodruff who survives along with five daughters: Karen (Lee) Weisend of Devola, Vickie (John) Atkinson of Beverly, Jayne (Mike) Dye of Devola, Kathi (Rick) York of Beverly and Brenda (Ed) Harra of Beverly; and her special pet, Winnie. Anna is also survived by eight grandchildren, Alicia (Matt) Craig, Matthew Weisend, Grace (Derrick) Nelson, Alan Atkinson, Amanda (Josh) Hill, Nathan Linger, Jamie Burchett and Kaylee Walters; nine great-grandchildren; her sisters, Ruby (George) Phillips, Janet (Larry) Boice, Carol Sciance; brothers, David (Jean) Robinson and William (Ellen) Robinson; and sister in law, Darlene Robinson. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Wilbur, Raymond and Deanie; brothers in law, Russell and Harold Woodruff, and Glen Sciance.
Anna enjoyed attending and showing antique cars owned by her and her husband and other family members. She was a member of the St. John's Evangelical Church in Lowell.
Funeral services will be held at the Lowell Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home at 11 a.m. on Monday (Oct. 1, 2012) with Pastor Don Hart officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Her burial will be in Beverly Cemetery. The family requests donations to the L-A Fire & Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 406, Lowell, Ohio 45744.
