From local reports
Funderdome Laser Tag and Indoor Golf at 113 Ann St., Parkersburg, officially opened its doors Saturday, Sept. 22, and plans to hold its official grand opening from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 7, where they will be giving away free lifetime FunderHeadz VIP Club memberships to the first 50 paying customers. The opening of Funderdome brings the first-ever 3D laser tag arena in the state of West Virginia and one of only a handful in the state in an industry that has seen rapid growth in recent years.
Laser tag is the main focus of the new business which is why a brand new and larger laser tag arena was built when the business changed," said managing partner Grant Fischer. "All of the professional arenas are built in one large room instead of a sequence of rooms like the previous business had set up. In order to create an arena of this magnitude, we had to use the only space that had this potential."
In addition to laser tag, Funderdome also features indoor miniature golf which was already present in the facility. "We have made some changes already, and plan to do a full makeover of the course now that we have completed the laser tag phase," said Fischer.
The center is now open Friday through Sunday to the public, and can schedule birthday parties, both private and non-private, any day of the week including weekends, and can accommodate corporate parties.
.Funderdome's normal hours will be 5 to 10 p.m. Fridays, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturdays, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sundays. Once the business has become more established and as it gets colder, more days and hours will be added along with late night hours with live music and food.
