Ron and Kay Place of Vincent will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with family and friends. They were married on Oct. 6, 1962, in the Vincent Methodist Church.
He is the son of the late Karl and Margaret Goddard Place. He retired from GE Plastics in 2000 after working there for 38 years.
She is the daughter of the late Kenneth and Dorothy McVicar Miller. She retired from Warren Local School District after teaching for 32 years. Most of those years were spent teaching 5th grade at Barlow-Vincent Elementary School.
They are the parents of Barbara (Michael) of Concord, N.C. and Ron Jr (Karen) of Getzville, N.Y. They have five grandchilden: Anthony Place of Delaware, Ohio; Kevin and Katherine Kucera of Concord, N.C. and Jacab and Jonah Place of Getzville, N.Y.
