We would like to take just a few minutes to share a recent event which included David White, candidate for county commissioner.
This past weekend, White and his son spent time with us at The Boy Scouts Good Friends outing teaching the Scouts Revolutionary War encampment and primitive skills. After White's participation last year, we asked him to return and continue working with the Scouts. At that time, we had no idea he would be in the heat of a countywide campaign.
When we contacted White this year to confirm, we were not surprised to hear him say "yes," he was still planning to be a part of our weekend. When we questioned him at the camp, he admitted what we already knew. There were several events he was missing and doors he should be knocking on, but he had given us his word. He gave freely of his time, unbegrudgingly, because he said he would. White and his son spent their time investing into the lives of these young boys and we appreciate it greatly.
We feel the residents of Washington County should know the kind of man we will be voting into office. He is a man of honor and integrity. He has always treated us with respect. Whether dealing with him in a business setting or on a personal level, White is a man you can trust to be honest and up front with you.
With David White in the commissioner's office, we the residents will be on the receiving end of his time and talents. That will be a good thing for the county.
