The Business Professionals of America organization at the Washington County Career Center elected its chapter officers recently. The chapter includes students from the Computer Graphics program and the Health Information Technology program.
Officers for the 2012-13 school year are President Kylie Ahart, daughter of Chuck and Tracy Ahart of Marietta; Vice President Kaitlin Dennis, daughter of Doug and Diane Dennis of Marietta; Secretary Michaella Webster, daughter of Steven Webster of Belpre and David and Candy Clark of Waterford; Treasurer Courtney Streight, daughter of Gary and Natasha Streight of Waterford; Parliamentarian Ricki Beaver, daughter of Ricky and Donna Beaver of Marietta; and Historian Summer Erb, daughter of James and Holly Leary of Marietta.
The Information Technology programs are a combination of high-level academic courses and state-of-the-art technology courses. Both programs of instruction provide opportunities for students to prepare for and achieve career objectives in business and computer occupations. Business Professionals of America is a student organization for high school and college students that help prepare for a world-class workforce. Through co-curricular programs and service, members compete in technical competitions, develop leadership skills, network with one another and professionals across the nation, and get involved in community service.
