Ruth A. (Kiggans) Blundell, 82, of Murphy, N.C., passed away Thursday (Oct. 18, 2012) at Hospice of Chattanooga, Tenn.
Ruth was born on Aug. 26, 1930, to Lawrence and Sarah (Kuhn) Kiggans. She is survived by her children: Carolyn Williamson (Roger), Marilyn Tate (Randy), Donna Monroe (Red), David Bayless, Joyce Guthrie, Sandra Chastain (Ronnie), Billie Jo Stover (Alan), Barbara Baker (Mike); brothers, Samuel, James (Jake); sisters, Lena Morgenstern (Don), Ethel Hopp (Don); 19 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers Robert, Earl and Douglas.
Ruth was a graduate of Lawrence High School, Dart, Ohio.
Funeral services were at Long Creek Memorial Baptist Church in Dallas, N.C. with burial in the church cemetery.
