Halloween event will move in case of rain
Marietta's Halloween in the Park party, typically held in Muskingum Park, will be moved to the Betsey Mills Club at the corner of Fourth and Putnam streets Saturday in the event of rain. The party will begin at noon.
Learn to dine with diabetes at OSU-E
Dining with Diabetes, a program about learning to manage diabetes, will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Nov. 6, 13 and 20 at the Ohio State University Extension office in Marietta.

Clothing giveaway at K of C Wednesday
There will be a free clothing giveaway at the Daily Bread Kitchen at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 312 Franklin St., Marietta, during the community lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday. The giveaway is sponsored by St. Mary's Health Ministry.
Anchorage costume party is planned
The Anchorage Halloween Costume Party will be held from 6:30 to 10 p.m. Wednesday. Costumes are optional. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12. Costume judging will be at 7:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served and there will be ghost stories in the attic, games and other activities. Oil and gas issues meeting in Salesville
An oil and gas issues briefing will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at the Kennonsburg United Methodist Church, 57599 Kennonsburg Road, Salesville. The speaker will be Dale Arnold, director of energy services for the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation. Topics will include: new lease negotiation basics, older lease modifications, pipeline easement agreements, community development issues and energy market trends.
