I understand that Ogden papers (owner of The Marietta Times) decreed that the Times endorse Mandel for senator. This appers to be a very poor choice from what I read about him in The Times - he appears to be a young "Political Hack" - obedient to his party's line, not to the voters.
Regarding advance voting days and times, he first ruled that certain precincts have more voting days and time available than others - which was rightly quashed by the Ohio Attorney General.
He then again unsuccessfully attempted to meddle with the voting days.
We do not need an election official, or senator, who is more loyal to his political party than the citizens.
The right thing to do is deny Mandel's bid to be our senator.
