Despite his boyish looks, Josh Mandel has been wearing big-man boots for several years. His service in the Marine Corps took him to Iraq for two tours of duty. He won a city council seat in Lyndhurst, Ohio, where he successfully led the fight to cut property taxes. As the current Ohio state treasurer he has implemented numerous cost-cutting measures that, by the end of his first year, saw the treasurer's office with a $400,000 surplus.
