SPENCER, W.Va. - It wasn't too long ago Williamstown's football team was on the brink of playing spectator for the postseason.
But three straight wins later and the Yellowjackets have secured yet another berth in the Class A state playoffs.
Friday night at Roane County High School, Williamstown's latest victim were the host Raiders. The Yellowjackets scored the game's first 27 points and won 41-7 to end the regular season at 6-4.
Winners in five of its previous six games before last night's defeat, Roane County slips to 6-4.
Both teams will be informed of their first-round opponents when the West Virginia Secondary School Activities Commission releases the official brackets for all classifications on Sunday.
