Eugene Galloway, 89, of Devola, Ohio died Thursday (Nov. 1, 2012) at his residence. He was born in Marion, Ohio, a son of the late George and Molly (Hurt) Galloway.
He worked for Dresser Marion Power and was a Lutheran by faith. He was a veteran of the Unites States Army having served in World War II.
He is survived by his wife, JoAnne (Witzel) Galloway, who he had been with for 37 years; son, Gary Wargowsky (Mindy) of Cutler, Ohio; daughter, Susan Bogart of Dayton, Ohio; grandchildren, Don Wargowsky and Steve Bogart; great-granddaughter, Ava Bogart; two sisters-in-law, Trudy and Lelia Galloway; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his three brothers Arthur, James, and Kenneth Galloway; and a sister, Nixola Tewalt.
Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Leavitt Funeral Home, Belpre with Reverends Mike Minear and Lou Whitney officiating. Burial will be at Centenary Cemetery in Cutler, Ohio with military honors. Visitation will be Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m.
