Minta Ann Schlotterbeck, 93, formerly of Piqua, more recently of Marietta, died at 12:16 p.m. Tuesday (Nov. 6, 2012) at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
She was born Nov. 18, 1918 in Fletcher to the late Joseph Monroe and Lela (Hilliard) Haney. She married John "Ray" Schlotterbeck Oct. 14, 1940 in Piqua. He preceded her in death Feb. 25, 2007.
Survivors include two daughters, Nancy (Harry) Congdon, Shirley (Bradley) Tamplin all of Piqua; a son, John R. (Florence) Schlotterbeck Jr. of Marietta; eight grandchildren, Joyce Wagner, James Congdon, Bradley Tamplin Jr., Michelle Coats, Valerie Burton, John Ray Schlotterbeck III, Armindia Schaad, Juanita Schlotterbeck; 18 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and twin sisters, Janet Laughman of Covington, Jean (Harry) Nead of Piqua.
She was preceded in death by a brother, William H. Haney.
Mrs. Schlotterbeck was a graduate of Piqua Central High School and was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Marietta.
A service to honor her life will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday (Nov. 10, 2012) at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with the Rev. Jack Chalk officiating. Burial will follow at Miami Memorial Park, Covington. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
