Hippodrome group to meet Tuesday

The Hippodrome/Colony Historical Theatre Association will hold its annual meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the lower level of the Unitarian Universalist Church, Third and Putnam streets in Marietta. The program will include the election of board members and an update on the Colony Theatre restoration. The public is invited to attend.

History series at Cutler center

The Third Thursday "History Series" will continue at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Cutler Community Center. This month's presentation will be "The Barnbuilders: An Architectural Legacy in Ohio's Rural Landscape." The public is invited and there is no admission charge. The presentation will be made by Thomas O'Grady with Friends of Ohio Barns. There will be food and drinks available from the canteen.

Cheer/dance teams' craft show Saturday

Buckeye All Stars Cheer and Dance teams will hold a vendor/craft show from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at The Rock Church on Ohio 339 beside Turner's Gas Station in Waterford. There will also be food and raffles.

Appraisal clinic

Saturday at museum

An appraisal clinic will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Campus Martius Museum. The appraisers will be from Garth's Auction House in Delaware. The cost is $5 per item with a limit of two items.

Apple butter

stir-off at church

Second Congregational Church, 1855 Greene St., Marietta, will hold its third annual apple butter stir-off and parking lot sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Anyone who wishes to set up a table to sell yard sale items can call 373-3756 for information. There is no charge. The church will be selling apple butter at $3.50 a pint or $7 a quart. Vegetable soup and soup beans will be sold for lunch, along with sandwiches and desserts.
