A recent letter writer (Nov. 9) and participant in the protest over the "Nuns on the Bus" tour stated she was proud of the group's efforts and took issue with criticism that this group of 9-12 members, Christians, and prominent Republican leaders were in any way disrespectful. I wasn't there, but I did notice in the picture in the Marietta Times, a protester holding a sign that read "Bums on the Bus". I don't know about the letter writer, but I believe calling polite, well-mannered older ladies "bums" fits the definition of disrespectful.
