Virginia E. Nellett, 91, of Fowlerville, Mich., formerly of Pinconning, Mich., died Tuesday (Nov. 13, 2012).
She was born March 22, 1921, in Marietta, Ohio, to Mason and Lola Mae (McGilton) Carpenter, one of nine children. She married George H. Klintworth on May 29, 1938, they had eight children.
He preceded her in death and she married Francis E. Nellett on June 21, 1977. She was a member of St. Mary Nine Mile Church in Pinconning and was active in the Altar Rosary Society and served as a eucharistic minister for 30 years.
Surviving are her husband, Francis; children, George Jr. (Janet Sue) Klintworth of Lowell, Ohio, Kenneth (Norma) Klintworth of Charlovoix, Mich., Walter T. (Tina) Klintworth of Lowell, Ohio, Lois (Lewis) Settlage of Berea, Ky., Alma (John) Gibson of Belpre, Ohio, Lesia (John) Wyatt of Fowlerville, Mich., daughter-in-law, Linda Klintworth-Burwell of Devola, Ohio; 39 grandchildren; 78 great- grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her first husband, George H. Klintworth; daughter, Shirley McIntire and her husband, John; son, John R. Klintworth; three grandchildren; and her brothers and sisters.
Services are at 11 a.m. Saturday (Nov. 17, 2012) at St. Agnes Catholic Church with Fr. Louis Ekka officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Niblack Funeral Home, Fowlerville. Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery, Pinconning. Memorials to Great Lakes Hospice.
