Buckeye Bash at Shrine Club Sat.

The Marietta Shrine Club's Buckeye Bash will be held Saturday during the Ohio State vs. Michigan football game. Doors will open at 11:30 a.m. with the game to begin at noon. The cost is a $5 minimum donation. There will be hot dogs and chili and a large screen TV. The event is open to the public.

Devola VFD to hold fundraising event

The Devola Volunteer Fire Department will hold a pasta dinner from 5 to 8 p.m. Dec. 1 to raise money for first responders on the east coast where there was damage from Superstorm Sandy. Monetary donations will be accepted for the admission to the dinner, which will include pasta, garlic bread, drinks and dessert. There will also be 50/50 raffles.

Beverly area parade will be held Sunday

The annual Beverly-Waterford Christmas Parade and Dodge Park Lighting Ceremony will be held Sunday. The parade will form at Waterford high School at 4:30 p.m., begin at 5:30 and end at Dodge Park in Beverly. The lighting ceremony will be held immediately after the parade. The event will include seasonal entertainment and free refreshments. Parade entrants are welcome with no reservations required. In addition, a collection of dry and canned goods will be taken at the park for the Beverly-Waterford Food Pantry.

Youngsters invited to library party

Young people ages 7 to 15 are invited to the Marietta location of the Washington County Public Library for an ornament and card making party from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Dec. 8 in the library meeting room. Registration is required, by stopping by the Youth Services Department or calling 373-1057, Ext. 219.

Craft, bake sale to benefit Relay team

The second annual Touch of Christmas Vendor, Craft & Bake Sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 8 at Beverly-Center Elementary School. All proceeds will go to Team Jillybug's Relay for Life Fund. Those who would like to be a vendor or crafter, can call Carrie Arnold at 304-580-6951 or email her at carebear1977funshine@yahoo.com.

Fish & shrimp dinner to help Post 6387

New Matamoras Post 6387 will hold a fish/shrimp dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Nov. 30. Proceeds will go to fund a new building.
