Some of the attorneys at Theisen & Brock in Marietta have gotten themselves into a hairy situation this month.
In the name of charity, Matt Carlisle, Craig Wakefield, Dan Corcoran and Kristopher Justice have put down their razors and sprouted mustaches to raise money and awareness for men's health issues, specifically prostate and testicular cancer.
"It is sort of akin to wearing the pink ribbon for breast cancer," said Carlisle of his mustache, which he calls the upside down horseshoe.

Movember participants at Theisen & Brock in Marietta are growing out their mustaches this November to raise awareness and funds for men’s health issues. The mustachioed team calls themselves the Marietta Mo Maniacs, and they are all taking part in "Movember," or mustache November.
During Movember, hundreds of thousands of participants across the world shaved clean on Nov. 1 and have been growing out their 'staches for the cause. The event began in Australia in 2004 and spread to the United States in 2007. Since its inception, the month-long grow-a-thon has raised around $299 million.
"Bringing awareness to the cause and raising money to help fight a treatable and preventable disease is very important to us," said Justice.
This is the first year the four men have participated in the event and they have certainly gotten a variety of reactions to their new facial hair.
"My wife laughed at me," said Wakefield.
And reactions around the office have been varied.
"They've been in shock a good bit of the time because the four of us have not really had any dealings with facial hair. It looks strange," said Carlisle.
Still the office is eager to get in on the fun. They will soon be voting on the "Lamest Mo Award."
"There's no shame in winning that," joked Corcoran.
Carlisle said he heard about the event from a friend in Columbus who was participating and joined because the issued resonated with him.
"My grandfather had prostate cancer and has recovered," he said.
Still, he feels lucky that his grandfather got tested and caught the issue quickly.
"It makes you look in the mirror. Am I doing everything I should be?" he said.
The team has raised $755 dollars of their $1,000 goal and are still taking donations at their website at www.mobro.co/mariettamomaniacs.
As to the fate of their newly sprouted whiskers, Carlisle, Corcoran and Justice are eagerly awaiting Saturday, which is Dec. 1. Wakefield, however, is not so sure he wants to shave.
"I might keep mine because my wife doesn't like it," he joked.
