Live nativity will be at gazebo in park
God's Church of Marietta will host a "Journey back to Bethlehem" at the East Muskingum Park gazebo on Front Street in Marietta from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday.
The live nativity will feature live animals and actors in period costumes. Stoked Coffee will have hot beverages available for purchase.

Beverly Eagles will hold a beef and noodle dinner at 5:30 p.m. Friday. The cost is $7 and includes dessert.
Marietta Y will hold teen dance Friday
The Marietta Family YMCA will hold a teen dance from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. The cost is $5. The dance is for those in grades six through eight.
Skilled birder will present program
Skilled birder Dick Eskar will host an evening about birding at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Learn how the annual Christmas bird count is done and see the results of previous years. Find out what species of birds are present through the winter in the local area.
The program will be sponsored by the Friends of the Ohio River Islands National Wildlife Refuge, located at 3982 Waverly Road, Williamstown.

Community invited to free lunch Saturday
The Singles and Doubles Class of First Baptist Church will offer its free Caring and Sharing Community Lunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the church, 301 Fourth St., Marietta.
All are invited to take part in the free lunch and Christian fellowship.
The menu will include baked ham, scalloped potatoes, green beans, desserts, rolls and beverage.
The class offers this free lunch as part of its Christian Outreach Ministry on the second Saturday of each month.
Dance studio plans breakfast with Santa
FORCE Competition Dance Troupe and Stacey's Dance Studio will sponsor a pancake breakfast with Santa from 7 to 10 a.m. Saturday at Blacksmith Tavern & Grill, Comfort Inn, Marietta. The cost is $5, which includes pancakes, sausage and a drink.
