Frontier choir

concert Sunday

The Frontier Middle School Choir and Frontier High School Choir will combine to present their annual Christmas concert at 2 p.m. Sunday in the school cafetorium. Following the concert, there will be a reception with punch and Christmas cookies. Admission is free.

Library coffee break Monday morning

The next meeting of the New Matamoras Library's Coffee Break will be at 10 a.m. Monday. The guest speaker will be Ken Finkel from the Washington County Historical Society, who will present a program about Frank Finkel, who survived Custer's Last Stand.

$2 clothing bag sale at food pantry

The Western Washington County Food Pantry in Vincent will hold a $2-a-bag Christmas clothing sale from Monday through Dec. 31. The hours are 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mondays and Tuesdays and 1 to 4 p.m. and 5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursdays.

Noble Co. Historical Society open house

The Noble County Historical Society will hold an open house at the Historic Jail Museum, 419 West St., Caldwell, from 5 to 8 p.m. today and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Admission is by donation and will be used to continue the preservation of the Historic Jail Museum. Roger Pickenpaugh will be there to sign his book "Noble County, Ohio: A History" Friday and until noon Saturday. After the tours, the Christmas Elves are hosting a tea party at the Hospitality House at 2:30 p.m. Saturday Admission is by donation to benefit the Ball-Caldwell Homestead.

Cantata Sunday at First Presbyterian

"Shout the Good News" Cantata, directed by Peter Sour, will be performed at 10:15 a.m. Sunday at First Presbyterian Church, 501 Fourth St., Marietta Ohio.
