Bridal Extravaganza 2013 will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. Jan. 6 at Dyson Baudo Recreation Center at Marietta College. Registration is at 12:30. Admission is $5 per person.

Watertown Twp. to hold meeting
Watertown Township will hold a year-end business meeting at 8 a.m. Dec. 31 at the township building. The 2013 organizational meeting will be held immediately following the business meeting.
AEP response to outage topic of talk
The December program of the Marietta Natural History Society will be presented by Paul Prater, community affairs manager for AEP in Ohio and West Virginia. His topic will be "How AEP Responds to Widespread Power Outage." He will be speaking about the extraordinary coordination and collaboration involved across the country as utility crews are dispatched after an event of this magnitude. This presentation will be at 7 p.m. Thursday in Selby Hall, Room 150 at Marietta College. The public is invited to attend.
Food pantry to hold Christmas 'sale'
The Western Washington County Food Pantry in Vincent will hold a $2-a-bag Christmas clothing sale through Dec. 31. The hours are 10 .m. to 1 p.m. Mondays and Tuesdays and 1 to 4 p.m. and 5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursdays.

War-era wedding topic of program
Laura Seebaugh of Waverly, W.Va., will bring a program to the Western Washington County Historical Society at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Barlow Library. For more than five months, Seebaugh researched a Civil War-era wedding and then spent more than $20,000 recreating a wedding with authentic 1861 details. Cindy Mallahan of The Village Cakery will make a miniature version of the cake she made for the wedding. Visitors are welcome to attend.
Library to show 'Oliver' on Dec. 29
Adults of all ages are invited to a Saturday afternoon matinee featuring the classic musical "Oliver" at 1:30 p.m. Dec. 29 in the Marietta Library meeting room at 615 Fifth St.
