Barlow Twp. trustees meet on Friday
The Barlow Township Trustees will hold a special meeting at 4 p.m. Friday. The purpose of the meeting is to open and read bids for a garbage contract.
The trustees will also hold a special meeting at 9 a.m.Monday to close out the year and an organizational meeting for the coming year will immediately follow.
The time of the next regular meeting on Jan. 14 has been changed to 7 p.m.
All meetings will be held at the Township Hall at 567 Warrior Drive, Vincent.
Family-bonding
program forming
The Strengthening Families program for parents and youth ages 10 to 14, a class to build family strength and parenting skills, will begin a free seven-week session Jan. 8. The program meets from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the Ely Chapman Education Foundation in Marietta. Dinner and child care is provided. The program is sponsored by Washington County Family and Children First.

Square dance Friday in Williamstown
The Williamstown Eagles will hold a square dance from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday with four hits and a miss. There will be food available, a cake walk and a 50/50 drawing. There is a $4 cover charge.

Beverly museum
Free visits to the Oliver Tucker Museum in Beverly are being offered from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Visitors can stop in and see local items of historical interest or teachers can plan a future trip for students.

Benefit gospel sing at Cutler Center
A benefit gospel sing, auction and dinner for the Cline and Hysell family will be held at 4 p.m. Jan. 12 at the Cutler Community Center. The family had a house fire and lost nearly everything. Singers will include LuLu Mayle, Kayla Sparkman, Kay Cook, Irvin Mayle, Jeff Norman and Tim King. Those attending are asked to bring a covered dish. Donations for the auction and family are being accepted.
