The Washington County Sheriff's Office arrested a man early this morning after he reportedly barricaded himself in his Grandview Township home and fired off a shotgun.
Kevin Bartlett, 48, was taken into custody after 1 a.m. by members of the sheriff's Special Response Team, Sheriff Larry Mincks said. Bartlett was charged with a felony count of possession of weapons under disability and a misdemeanor count of using a firearm while intoxicated.
Authorities were contacted between 6 and 6:30 p.m. by neighbors reporting they could hear yelling and shots fired at Bartlett's residence. Mincks said it was not clear what caused the incident.
Bartlett is scheduled to be arraigned by video at 1 p.m. in Marietta Municipal Court.
