Let’s keep more of our money at home, and get back to basics

January 3, 2013
The Marietta Times

I don't completely understand all facets of the fiscal cliff, but I do understand that there are a lot of us Americans who don't have work and danged little hope. I say we need get back to basics. Let's fix the infra structure. For example the power lines to my grandmother's farm are in sad repair. Cracked insulation has been there since the 1940s, road repair, clean energy solutions, and clean water to our rural citizens. Here is another suggestion, protect the schools. If we don't have the money, the federal government should ask the citizens for donations. Even the poorest of us would donate to such a cause. Take a good look around folks. We are hurting and the senators, congress persons and president are arguing over tax cuts or increase and spending. Well I say let's keep more of our money at home. Tax the crap out of those that send our jobs over seas. Come on folks. Let's fix this.
