Chelsie Roberts posted a double-double with 25 points and 10 rebounds in a 56-34 win over Shenandoah in a Pioneer Valley Conference game Thursday night in Woodsfield.
The Seminoles jumped out to a 16-7 lead in the first quarter and were up 23-14 at halftime.
Joining Roberts in double digits for Monroe Central was Chelsie Tewanger with 11 and Anne LaFollette with 10. Kelsie Dick had a game-high 11 boards.

Troy Baker's squad improved to 8-6 overall and 4-3 in the PVC. Shenandoah fell to 7-6 and 3-4 in the PVC.
Shenandoah will host Meadowbrook at 1 p.m. Saturday in a non-conference contest while Monroe Central is back in action at Tuesday when it hosts Buckeye Trail at 6 p.m. in another PVC tilt.

REEDSVILLE - The Eastern Eagles defeated the Warren Lady Warriors 64-55 Thursday night.
Tied at 15-15 after one quarter, Warren led 15-14 with 1:03 and Eastern was up by four on five different occasions in the first quarter.
Junior Jenna Burdette hit a 3-pointer with 7:12 left, giving her 1,000 points for her career while handing Eastern an 18-15 lead. Eastern never trailed again the rest of the way and twice led 12 points, the last of which came at 55-43 with 5:33 left in regulation.
Eastern had 23 turnovers, including 13 in 1st half. Warren had 14 total, seven in each half. Warren missed its final 15 3-point attempts.
Jenna Burdette had a game-high 32 points. Mackenzie Ullman led Warren 15 markers. The Warriors fell to 5-6, while Eastern is now 11-1.

UHRICHSVILLE - All-everything Erica Dawson scored 26 of her game-high 39 points in the first half as visiting Marietta High routed Claymont 81-22 in East Central Ohio League girls' basketball action Wednesday night.
The Scott Cozzens-coached Lady Tigers (10-1 overall, 4-1 ECOL) also got 13 points from Kristen Hill and 11 from Ali Moore as they staked themselves to a 25-8 first-quarter advantage.
Madison Stubbins paced Claymont (1-11, 1-8) with eight markers.
Marietta is scheduled to play at Waterford (9-2) in a non-conference game at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
