'Manage Your Money' course
The Ohio State University Extension in Noble County will offer the "Manage Your Money" course to assist individuals and families with financial basics. The self-study course begins Feb. 12. The course will help participants know where their money goes, how to save, plan their spending, understand credit limits and how to organize financial records in six weeks. Those who want to take part must register by Feb. 4.

Mountaintop removal video
The Marietta-Washington County League of Women Voters will present the video "The Lost Mountain" at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the downstairs Fellowship Hall of the First Unitarian Universalist Church, Third and Putnam streets in Marietta. The video concerns mountain top removal. The meeting is open to the public.

Free martial arts training for students
The Right Path for Washington County is partnering with Bigley Studio in Marietta and Wagner Studio in Beverly to offer a six-week martial arts training for area high school students. This is an opportunity to strengthen mind, spirit and body by building self esteem, setting goals and committing to a healthy lifestyle. This free training is provided by the Marietta Community Foundation. Washington County high school students interested in participating should call Cathy Harper at 374-6990. Classes will being in the next two weeks.
Board of elections meets Wednesday
The Washington County Board of Elections will hold its regular monthly meeting at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday in the board conference room.

Genealogical society meets Saturday
The Washington County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society will meet at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Marietta Library basement meeting room, 615 Fifth St., Marietta. The program will be a sharing session of genealogy problems and finds. Members are encouraged to bring a picture, question, etc., to share with the group. Visitors are always welcome.
