Virginia Lee Lockhart, 62, of Marietta, went to be with the Lord on Sunday (Jan. 27, 2013). She was born on March 5, 1950, in Marietta to the late Pearl Lockhart and Effie Wagner Blair of Marietta.
Virginia was a member of Second Congregational Church. She played the piano and sang in the choir for the Second Congregational Church and played the piano at Little Muskingum Congregational Church. She was a 1968 graduate of Marietta High School. She had been employed at Central Office Supply, Bonham's, Kremer's Department Store and at Community Action.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by two brothers and four sisters: Jack G. Lockhart of Washington Court House, Rodney J. Lockhart of Marietta, Kathryn L. Munoz of Marietta, Nancy L. Young of Alberton, Mont., Evelyn M. Seevers of Belpre, Jamie Hess of Marietta and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday (Jan. 31) at 11 a.m. at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Richard Saltzwadel officiating. Burial will follow at East Lawn Memorial Park.
