- Hon. W.M. Dickson, representative from Washington County in the general assembly, has been appointed by Speaker Swain onto various committees, including the public schools committee.
- A witness in the "white slave case" died at her room at a residence on the south side of Court Square. Evidence points to suicide as cause of death.
